The St. George Imperial Pale Ale I just had was good. Very smooth. I don’t think it’s available outside of Hampton Roads, though.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Bell’s Oatsmobile session pale ale. It was quite good, I would buy again and recommend.

Dales is good. Dales is Life.

Lagunitas (many varieties of IPA)

Harpoon (I can’t get it locally here)

Summit IPA and EPA and Pale Ales for that matter are quite tasty

Surly makes quite a few good IPAs

Many more (Minnesota) local brews that I don’t think are exported out of state and if so haven’t made it too far out of the midwest.

Where do you live? That will determine recommendations.

Terrapin Hopsecutioner is supposed to be very good. Not sure if they sell it where you live though. I’ll also second JustAnotherG6's recommendation of Lagunitas.

I think Sierra Nevada has the best pale ale, though I’ve several that come close.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is my go-to “gas station” beer and standard bearer, but Deschutes Mirror Pond, Firestone Pale 31, TapIt American Pale Ale, and when I can find it Oscar Blues’ Dale’s Pale are all in regular rotation.

If you can find Firestone Walker pale 31, it is excellent.

Give Carton Brewing a try. Brunch Dinner Grub, HopPun, or Boat Beer would be good choices.
